Plants for Residents

Plants for Residents provides free plants to residents of the City of Kalamunda to support the establishment of natural habitat in backyards and verges across the City and improve our urban canopy.

For 2020 the Plants for Residents program will operate under a ‘click and collect’ model.

Residents can view, select and order their plants (up to a maximum of 15) and be allocated a date and time for collection.

All plants are tube stock or smaller. The program aims to promote the re-vegetation of residential and rural properties with local native trees, shrubs and groundcovers. Planting not only improves landscape quality but also provides an array of environmental benefits such as shade, carbon sequestration and shelter for birds, reptiles and small mammals.

Once registrations close, you will receive a confirmation email (provided at time of ordering), notifying you of the pickup slot and instructions for collection. For more details, please read our Terms and Conditions below.

For those who have ordered we will be in touch via email over the coming days to confirm your collection time.

One order per household only. First order received will be deemed the valid order.

Registrations close 5pm 31 May 2020, or until allocation is exhausted. 15-minute pick up time slots will be confirmed by email once online registrations close.

Pick up times will be from Friday, 5 June through to Sunday, 7 June 2020 from Gooseberry Hill Hall, 42 Ledger Road, Gooseberry Hill.

Residents MUST bring:

  • photo ID (driver’s licence/ passport); or
  • current Rates Notice or utility bill (to verify address); and
  • a container for carrying plants.

*Where possible, we will strive to provide the plants you have selected, but in the case where the plant is not available, we will make as close a substitution as possible. There is a limit of three (3) plants per species per order.
